Transfer to Turtle Beach
Travel north of Tamarindo on a scenic 40-minute drive to one of the region’s protected turtle nesting beaches.

Guided Turtle Experience
Arrive at the nesting site and follow your guide into the darkness of the beach, under the starlit sky. Learn about turtle behavior, reproduction, diets, and nesting as you quietly observe these incredible creatures.

Species You May Encounter
Three species are commonly seen in the area:

Leatherback turtles – the world’s largest turtle
Green sea turtles
Olive Ridley sea turtles

Responsible Observation
Photography is allowed without flash. For the safety of the turtles, touching is not permitted. Sightings depend on beach conditions such as sandbars, temperature, and tide, so nesting cannot be guaranteed.
